About
Established in 1857 alongside Calcutta and Madras, the University of Mumbai is one of the largest affiliating universities in the world, with hundreds of colleges across the city and the Konkan. It is best known for producing the people who built modern Indian business, law and science, from B. R. Ambedkar to Homi Bhabha. Its Kalina (Vidyanagari) campus houses the postgraduate departments, while the historic Fort campus with its Rajabai Clock Tower remains a Mumbai landmark.
