About
The oldest women's college in Asia, grown out of the school J. E. D. Bethune founded in 1849 and running degree classes since 1879, Bethune is a West Bengal government college with a NAAC A+ grade. India's first women graduates studied here, and so did two of Bengal's most famous women revolutionaries. Expect small batches, very low fees and a hostel on the Hedua campus in north Kolkata.
