About

The first AIIMS in the Northeast, built at Changsari on the outskirts of Guwahati and formally inaugurated in 2023. It anchors tertiary care for the entire region, which means broad clinical exposure, but the MBBS intake is small and PG programmes are only now being layered on — verify the current course list with the institute before applying.
