MSRIT, founded in 1962 by educationist and builder M.S. Ramaiah, is the highest NIRF-ranked private engineering college in Bengaluru for 2025 at rank 75. It sits inside the larger Ramaiah education and hospital complex in MSR Nagar, north Bengaluru, which gives it strong interdisciplinary links with medicine and management.
