2026 bulletin: one paper, 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions in 180 minutes (Physics 45, Chemistry 45, Biology 90), 720 marks, +4 for a right answer and -1 for a wrong one, on paper. The 2027 format is undecided (see pattern_note). Not decided: in May 2026 NTA told the Supreme Court it was ready to move NEET to computer-based testing from 2027, but in September 2026 (reported 19 Sep) the Centre told the court the shift is still under active consideration and a task force is to report. Treat the 2027 pattern, mode, shifts and dates as open.
