Founded in 2011 by the Shiv Nadar Foundation and designated an Institution of Eminence by the Ministry of Education, SNIoE is one of only a handful of private universities to hold that status. Its 286-acre fully residential campus near Dadri runs engineering alongside strong natural sciences and humanities schools, and undergraduates can take a genuinely flexible cross-disciplinary curriculum with majors and minors. It does not feature in the NIRF engineering list, so weigh it on research output, scholarships and graduate-school outcomes.
