LNMIIT was set up in 2003 as a public-private partnership between steel magnate Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and the Government of Rajasthan, and is focused narrowly on information and communication technology. Its 100-acre fully residential campus on the Jaipur-Delhi highway runs a small intake with a strong computing bias, which is why its software placements track well above its size. It does not appear in the NIRF engineering rankings, so evaluate it on placement and admission cutoffs instead.
