It sits inside AMU's vast residential campus, so students get a full central-university experience — halls of residence, sport and cultural life — rather than a standalone engineering college one. AMU's engineering ranking sits in the national top 40, and admission now runs on JEE Main scores.","aliases":["ZHCET"],"tags":["state:uttar-pradesh","city:aligarh","type:central","sector:govt","stream:engineering","tier:3","exam:jee-main","profile:yes","quality:verified","from:campusbinge"],"facts":[{"label":"Type","value":"Central university · Government","trust":"unverified","source":0},{"label":"Where","value":"Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh","trust":"unverified","source":0},{"label":"Founded","value":"1935","trust":"unverified","source":0},{"label":"Median salary (listed)","value":"₹7 L a year","trust":"unverified","source":0},{"label":"University","value":"NOT APPLICABLE","trust":"unverified","source":0},{"label":"Website","value":"https://www.amu.ac.in/colleges/zakir-husain-college-of-engineering-and-technology","trust":"unverified","source":0}],"data":{"has":{"sports":false,"cutoffs":false,"admissions":false,"placements":false,"programmes":false,"examCutoffs":false},"lat":null,"lon":null,"city":"Aligarh","fees":{"pg":null,"ug":null,"note":"Per year, as listed on Shiksha via Campus Binge"},"naac":null,"name":"Zakir Husain College Of Engineering & Technology","nirf":[],"tier":3,"type":"Central","email":null,"phone":null,"state":"Uttar Pradesh","hostel":true,"listed":{"city":"Aligarh","fees":{"pg":null,"ug":null},"type":"Central","state":"Uttar Pradesh","ratings":{"overall":null},"outcomes":{"medianLpa":7,"placementPct":null},"management":"Government"},"siteId":"cb-1-44638152637","stream":"Engineering","address":null,"aicteId":null,"pincode":null,"ratings":{"faculty":null,"overall":null,"shiksha":null,"academic":null,"placement":null,"socialLife":null,"infrastructure":null},"streams":["engineering"],"website":"https://www.amu.ac.in/colleges/zakir-husain-college-of-engineering-and-technology","district":"Aligarh","outcomes":{"note":"Computer and electronics branches see the strongest hiring; core branches place more slowly and PSU recruitment through GATE remains an important route for mechanical, electrical and civil students.","intake":650,"placed":null,"graduated":null,"medianLpa":7,"placementPct":null,"avgPackageLpa":8,"highestPackageLpa":null},"prestige":-400,"tierNote":"Internal Campus Binge tier for sorting, not a ranking.","facilities":[],"management":"Government","provenance":{"confidence":"medium","fieldEvidence":{},"profileSource":"campusbinge_400_aug2026","verifiedFields":[],"descriptionSource":"curated_batch_aug2026"},"university":"NOT APPLICABLE","affiliation":"Constituent college of Aligarh Muslim University","campusAcres":null,"dataQuality":"verified","established":1935,"accreditation":"NBA (select UG programmes)","entranceExams":["JEE Main","AMU admission process"],"notableAlumni":["Zafar Iqbal – Olympic gold-medal-winning Indian hockey player and Arjuna awardee","D.
