Banasthali Vidyapith is India's largest fully residential university for women, set in a self-contained township in rural Rajasthan where students live on campus from school through to Ph.D. Its 'Panchmukhi Shiksha' philosophy makes physical training compulsory, so undergraduates learn horse riding, shooting, martial arts or flying — the campus has its own airstrip and flying club. It ranks 66th among Indian universities in NIRF 2025 and is unusually strong in engineering and design for a women's institution.
